A popular large shrub with a dense, rounded, bushy habit and large, leathery, oval, green to lime green foliage. In Spring it produces large clusters of small, highly fragrant white flowers and these are followed by red berries that age to black. Grows in full sun to part shade preferring a moist, well-drained soil and will tolerate frost when established.
