Selina' is a low-growing, deciduous, bushy shrub, to around 1-1.2m tall, with broadly-ovate, dark green leaves flushed purple-bronze when young. On neutral to alkaline soils, flowe rheads of deep pink fertile flowers surrounded by a ring of rosy-pink ray florets with white centres are borne in summer; flowers are blue-violet when grown on acidic soils
