This unique plant with evergreen, iris-like, cream and grey-green striped foliage, builds up in time into small, upright clumps. In late spring and early summer, it produces spikes of 1cm pale cream/yellow flowers dotted along upright stems. Fully hardy, the plant enjoys hot, dry conditions but tolerates partial shade in well-drained, moist soil. Once established, it is very drought-tolerant.
