The Harlequin bigleaf hydrangea has glossy green leaves, bushy habit and extraordinary rose and white edged flowers. In summer it produces showy mopheaded clusters of flowers that range from pink to lavender-blue (soil pH dependent) for months. The flower sepals (bud leaves) have jagged edges that are white.
